If the magnification in a pinhole camera is 0.5 and the height of the object is 30 cm, then what is the height of the image?

Like every optical device, magnification in pinhole camera is given as,

                                  =  \frac{H_{i}}{H_{o}} or \frac{Height of image}{Height of object};

Hence, using magnification formula and given things i.e,

       M = 0.5;

       Ho or Height of object = 30 cm;

we can conclude that;

     = 0.5 = \frac{H_{i}}{30};

     H_{i} or height of image = 0.5 * 30;

                                          = 15 cm;
