Given ,

Object height (ho) = 2 cm

Magnification (m) = -3

As we know that ,

The ratio of height of image to the height of object is called linear magnification

It is denoted by " m "

 \boxed{ \sf{Magnification \:  (m) =  \frac{ h_{i} }{h_{o}} }}

It has no SI unit and dimensional formula

Thus ,

-3 = hi/2

hi = -6 cm

The negative sign of height of image shows the image is real and inverted

The nature of image is real and inverted
