Let the production cost of the geyser be Rs x.
Manufacturers gain= 6%
Therefore , S.P of the manufacturer= 106% of Rs x = Rs( x *106 /100) =53x/50
Wholesale dealer's gain= 8%
S.P of the dealer= 108% of Rs 53x/50 =(53x /50* 108/100)=(53x/ 50 *27 /25)
Reatailer's gain=10%
S.P of the retailer=110% of Rs(53x/50*27/25)
=(53x * 27/25* 110/ 100) =( 5x * 27/25* 11 / 10)
But, the retailer's price=Rs 15741
Therefore, 53x/50*27/25*11/10=15741 => x= 1541 *50 *25* 10/53 *25* 11=12500
Hence, the cost of the production of the geyser= Rs 12500

Answer:12500

Step-by-step explanation:LET THE PRODUCTION COST BE x

MANUFACTURERS GAIN 6 PERCENT

THEREFORE, SP OF MANUFACTURER =106%OF x= 53x/50

WHOLESALE DEALERS GAIN=8%

SP OF DEALER= 108%OF 53x/50

RETAILERS GAIN= 10%

SP OF RETAILER = 110%OF 53x/50×27/25

BUT THE RETAIL PRICE IS RS 15741

53x/50×27/25×11/10=15741

THEREFORE, x=12500RS

HENCE THE PRODUCTION COST IS RS 12500
