If the mass number of an element is not given to us,and we have only no of protons , electrons, and atomic number then how can we find the number of neutrons.


pls answer correctly and wrong answer or irrelevant answer will be reported..... .​

Answer:

You can find neutrons by subtracting atomic no. from mass no.

And to find mass no. we can add electrons and neutrons

Eg-

To find neutrons

Chlorine

Atomic number = 17 , Mass number = 37

Atomic number = no. of electrons and protons

Therefore,

Electron = 17

Proton = 17

Neutron = Mass number - Atomic number

= 37 - 17

Neutron = 20
