If the mass of an object in Earth is 12kg, what will be the mass of the object on the moon.

Actually the mass of the body remains the same everywhere. So even on moon the mass of the body remains 12 kg. However, weight changes since the gravitational acceleration on moon is 1/6th that on earth. So it's weight comes out to be around 19.6kN but it's mass would be 12kg.
