We know by formula that;-

        Recoil Velocity, Vg = mv/M

So, putting the given values in the formula, we get;-

                Vg = 100 × 100/ 1000 × 2

                Vg = 10000/ 2000

                Vg = 10/2

                Vg = 5 m/s

Therefore, the recoil velocity of the gun is 5 m/s.
