wavelength associated with a neutron is 1.656 × 10^-16 [ approximately]

given , mass of neutron, m = 1.7 × 10^-27 kg

energy of neutron, E = 3eV

we know, 1 eV = 1.6 × 10^-19 J

so, energy of neutron , E = 3 × 1.6 × 10^-19 = 4.8 × 10^-19 J

from De - Broglie's wavelength equation,

λ = h/√(2mE)

⇒λ = 6.625 × 10^-34 Js/√{2 × 1.7 × 10^-27 × 4.8 × 10^-19}

= 6.625 × 10^-34/√{3.4 × 4.8 × 10^-36}

= 6.625 × 10^-34/4 × 10^-18

= 1.656 × 10^-16
