Given :-

  • m = 1000 kg
  • u = 30 m/s
  • F = 6000 N
  • v = 0 m/s

To find :-

Distance travelled

Solution :-

To find distance travelled, we first need to find acceleration -

Calculating Acceleration :-

Force = Mass × Acceleration

6000 = 1000 × a

a = -6 m/s²

Calculating distance travelled :-

  • v = 0 m/s
  • u = 30 m/s
  • a = -6 m/s²

Substituting the value in 3rd equation of motion :-

v² = u² + 2as

0 = 30² - 2 (6)(s)

900 = 12s

s = 900/12

s = 75 m

Distance travelled = 75 m
