when mass is doubled and distance is halved gravitational force become 16 times as before because
mass is directly proportional to gravitational force and distance is inversely to gravitational force
so,
F=Gm_1m_2/r^2
F = G2*2/1/2^2
F=G 4/1/4
F=G 16
thus gravitational force increase by 16 times
