Given : mean and coefficient of variation of data are 4 and 87.5%.

To find : standard deviation

Solution:

using the formula

Coefficient of Variation = (Standard deviation /Mean) * 100 %

Coefficient of Variation  = 87.5%.

Mean = 4

Standard Deviation = SD

putting values in formula

=> 87.5  = (SD/4) * 100

=> SD = 87.5 * 4 /100

=> SD =  350/100

=> SD = 3.5

standard deviation is  3.5
