if the mean of 10,12,1,13,p and 17 is 15 find the value of p

(10+12+1+13+p+17)/6=15
(53+p)/6=15
53+p=90
p=90-53
p=37

10+12+1+13+P+17 =53 + P

if the mean is 15 it means

{fx53+P/6 f = 15

53+P=6*15

so the value p is = 90-53 = 37 (answer)
