Given,

No of observations = 10

Mean of the observations = 30

Thus, Sum of the observations = mean x no of observations = 30 x 10 = 300

Since, the number 19 is misread as 9 and 23 is not read, hence we have to first subtract 9 from 300 and add 23 to it to get the proper sum.

Let's Do that :))

(300 - 9) + 23  =  291 + 23 = 314

Now we also have to add 19 since the number 19 was earlier misread as 9.

Thus,

314 + 19 = 333

Hence, 323 is the actual sum of the observations.

Since the number 23 was missed to read thus the actual no of observations = 11

Therefore the new Mean is---

Sum of Observations / No of observations

= 333 / 11

= 30.27 (Ans)
