Given - Mean of 5 observations is 11

The observations are x, x-2, x+4, x+6,
x-8.

According to the Question,

$\frac{x + x- 2 + x+ 4 + x+ 6 + x- 8}{5} = 11$
$= > \frac{5x}{5} \: + 10 - 10 \\ = > x = 11 \\ = > x = {11}$

Mean = $\frac{Sum\: of\: Observations}{No.\:of\: Observations}$
