(6+8+5+4+x) / 5 = 7

(23 + x )/ 5 = 7

(23 + x) × 1 = 7 × 5

23 + x = 35

x = 35-23

x = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

arithmetic mean=

sum of observation/no of observation

given observation=6,8,5,7,x,4

mean=7

7=(6+8+5+7+4+x)/6

7x6=30x

42=30x

42/30=x

x=7/5

or x=1.4

i hope it will helps u
