☯️ Given :-

  • The series are 7,9,6,x and 5
  • Mean is 8

R.T.P :-

To find the value of x....

⚛️ Solution :-

We know that mean is

 \frac{sum \: of \: all \: observations}{no. \: of \: observations}

By substituting the values , we get

 \frac{7 + 9 + 6 + x + 5}{5}  = 8

As here the no. of observations = 5

So, we get

 \frac{27 + x}{5}  = 8

27 + x = 40(5 \times 8)

x = 40 - 27

x = 13

✳️ Verification :-

 \frac{7 + 9 + 6 + 13 + 5}{5}  = 8

 \frac{40}{5}  = 8

8 = 8

Hence verified that x = 13 .....✔️
