p is equals to 5 as 8+6+9+p+15+p+2 /5 =10. 40+2p =50 ...2p=10 ...p=5

Mean = Sum of numbers / Total numbers
= 8+6+9+p+15+p+2/5 = 10
= 40 + 2p / 5 = 10
= 40 + 2p = 50 ( multiplying 10 by 5 )
= 2p = 50 - 40
= 2p = 10
= p = 10 / 2 = 5
