mean =  \frac{sum \: of \: terms}{number \: of \: terms}  \\ 10 =  \frac{8 + 6 + 9 + p + p + 2 + 12 + 15 + 22}{8}  \\ 10 \times 8 = 2p + 74 \\ 2p = 80 - 74 \\ p =  \frac{6}{2}  \\ p = 3
