Mean value of m, n, s, p, q is 12. Then their sum is 60.

To find the mean value, find the sum.

(m+n+s+p+q)+4-3+6-2+8, or

(60)+1+4+8, or

73 is the sum.

There are five of them. Now to find the mean value, divide by 5.

73/5 is the mean value.
