if the mean of the 5 observation x, x + 2 X + 4 x + 6 and X + 8 is 11, then find the value of x

mean = sum of observations/ no. of observations.
11= x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8/5
55= 5x+20
55-20= 5x
35/5=x
x= 7

Given ,

Mean of 5 observation x , x+2, x+4, x+6, x+8 is 11

so,

x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8/ 5 = 11

5x + 20 / 5 = 11

5x + 20 = 11*5

5x + 20 = 55

5x = 55-20

5x = 35

x = 35/5

x = 7
