Answer:

ax

Step-by-step explanation:

If the mean of the data x1,x2,x3.........xn is x,then find the mean of ax1,ax2,ax3.......axn

Data

x1,x2,x3.........xn

Sum = x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn

Number of data = n

Mean = Sum of data / number of Data

=> Mean = (x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn)/n

=> x = (x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn)/n

New data

ax1,ax2,ax3.......axn

Sum = ax1 + ax2 + ax3 +.........+ axn

Taking a common

=> Sum = a(x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn)

=> Mean = a(x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn)/n

putting value of (x1 + x2 + x3 +.........+ xn)/n = x

=> Mean = ax

the mean of ax1,ax2,ax3.......axn = ax
