FORMULA OF MEAN = SUM OF OBSERVATION ÷ NUMBER OF OBSERVATION

Here, Sum of Observations = x – 50 + x – 20+ x – 10 + x + 15+x + 25+ x + 40

Number of Observation = 6.

Applying Mean Formula !

Mean = SUM OF OBSERVATION ÷ NUMBER OF OBSERVATION

60 = x – 50 + x – 20+ x – 10 + x + 15+x + 25+ x + 40 / 6

60 = 6x - (-40+40)/6

60 = 6x - 0/6

60 = 6x /6

6x = 60× 6

6x = 360

•°• x = 60

Hence, Required Value of x is 60.
