If the mean of two numbers is 24 and one number is 16 find the other

Answer :

we have mean =24 one number =16 and suppose another number =x

formula for mean =X¡+X¡/2

24=16+x/2

24×2=16+x

48=16+x

X=48–16

X=32

Hence,The another number is 32.
