mean is the sum of number divided by count

sum of numbers/total number = mean

(x+x+3+x+6+x+9+x+12)/5 = 10

5x + 30 = 10*5

5x = 50-30 = 20

x = 4

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean=sum of observations/no. of observations

=>10=x+(x+3)+(x+6)+(x+9)+(x+12)/5

=>10=x+x+3+x+6+x+9+x+12/5

10=5x+30/5

10=5x/5+30/5

10=x+6

x=10-6

therefore x=4
