If the measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is (3x – 10)degree

and the measure of the interior

opposite angles are 25degree

and (x + 15)degree

, find x and hence the value of the angles of the triangle.

Answer:by exterior angle property

(x+15)+25degree=3x-10

X+15+25 = 3x+10

X+40 = 3x+10

40+10 = 3x-x

50 = 2x

X = 50/2

X = 25

First angle=25

Second angle=x+15=25+15=40

By angle sum property

sum of all angles=180degree

Third angle = 115degre

(x+15)degree +25 degree = (3x-10)degree [sum of opposite interior angles is equal to exterior angle]

x+15+25=3x-10

x+40=3x-10

x-2x=-10-40

-x=-50

x=50 degrees
