here , x+y+40=180
=> x+y=180-40
=> x+y=140
again ,
x-y=30
x=30+y
putting the value of x in the previous equation
x+y=140
=> 30+y+y=140
=> 2y=140-30
=> 2y=110
=> y=110/2
=> y=55
so, x=30+y=30+55=85
so, value of x=85°
value of y=55°
