If the measure of angles of a triangle arexº, yº and 40° and difference between
the two measures of angles xºis yº is 30°. Then find the values of x° and yº.​

sum of the three angles of a triangle is 180°

here , x+y+40=180

=> x+y=180-40

=> x+y=140

again ,

x-y=30

x=30+y

putting the value of x in the previous equation

x+y=140

=> 30+y+y=140

=> 2y=140-30

=> 2y=110

=> y=110/2

=> y=55

so, x=30+y=30+55=85

so, value of x=85°

value of y=55°
