If the measured value of two quantities are A+-delta A and Ben +- delta B,delta A and delta B being the mean absolute error.What is the maximum possible error in A +-B?
Show that if Z=A/B
deltaZ/Z=deltaA/A+deltaB/B

∆X = ∆A + ∆B

◆ Explanation -

Let X be the quantity we get after adding/subtracting A and B.

X = A ± B

Maximum possible error in measurement of X will be equal to addition of errors in individual measurement of A and B.

∆X = ∆A + ∆B
