Median is the middlemost term in the arranged form of data, in this series of data, we see the values are already arranged in ascending order.

no. of terms (n) = 5 (odd)

Median = (n+1/2)^t^h term = 3rd term = 4a

∴ 4a = 8

⇒ a = 2

Hope I helped
