The value of the x in the given data set is 6.

Explanation:

Let "n" represents the number of integers in the given set.Therefore,n=4.

We know,that median position of any data set=\frac{\left ( n+1 \right )}{2},Hence,in this case,median position of the given data set=\frac{\left ( 4+1 \right )}{2} or 2.5th position which is given as 5.

Now,as 5 is the median and it is located in the 2.5th position in the data set,it is basically average or mean of 4 and x.

Hence,we can write:-

\frac{\left ( 4+x\right )}{2}=5

\left ( 4+x \right )=10

\left  x \right =6

Therefore,the value of x is 6 as average/mean of 4 and 6 is actually 5 or the median.
