Step-by-step explanation:

Given data :

 \frac{x}{3}   \:  \:  \: \frac{x}{2}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{x}{4}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{x}{9}

Rearranging the terms in ascending order,

 \frac{x}{9}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{x}{4}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{x}{3}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{x}{2}

Now, Median =

(  \frac{ (\frac{4}{2}th \: term) \:  +  (\frac{4}{2}  + 1)th \: term }{2} )

 \frac{ {2}^{nd} term \:  +  {3}^{rd} term}{2}

 \frac{ \frac{x}{4} +  \frac{x}{3}  }{2}  = 5

  \frac{3x + 4x}{12}  = 10

7x = 120 \\  => x =  \frac{120}{7}  \\ x = 17 \frac{1}{7}

Hence, the value of x = 17.14 (approx)
