If the mid point of the line segment joining the points p (6, b – 2) and Q(–2, 4) is (2, – 3). What is the value of b?

(\frac{4}{2} , \frac{b+2}{2} ) = (2,-3)

\frac{b+2}{2} = -3

⇒ b+2 = -6

⇒ b = -8
