Given : The modal class is 10 - 15

Classes       0-5    5 - 10  10 - 15    15 - 20   20 - 25

Frequency     8        6             f            4          3

To Find : Value of  f

a) f < 8

b) f ≥ 8

c) f > 8 only

d) f < 7

Solution:

Classes       0-5    5 - 10  10 - 15    15 - 20   20 - 25

 Frequency     7        6             f            4          3

10 - 15 is modal class Hence

f must be greater than 8

Hence  f  >  8     f can not be 8 s

Correct option is  c)  f > 8 only
