momentum = mass*velocity
p = mv
let the momentum be mv
so if it increased by 50% then
=> 50%ofmv + mv
=> 3/2mv
& kinetic energy intial = 1/2mv²
now new velocity (v2) = 3/2v
hence new kinetic energy = 1/2mv2²
=>1/2m*(3/2v)²
now % increased in kinetic energy = (1/2m*(3/2v)²/1/2mv²)*100
=>225%
