Step-by-step explanation:

Tn = 4n^2 - 1

8th term = 4(8)^2 - 1

= 4(64) - 1

= 256 - 1

= 255

The correct answer is option (d) 255

8th term of AP = 255

Given:

nth term of Arithmetic Progression = 4n² - 1

To find:

The 8th term in AP

Solution:

Given nth term of AP = 4n² - 1

then 1st term of AP = 4(1)²-1 = 4 - 1 = 3

2nd term of AP = 4(2)²-1 = 4(8) -1 = 32 - 1 = 31

ath term of AP = 4(a)²-1 = 4a²-1

Just like above we can find any term of AP by substituting number of term in place of n

⇒ 8th term of AP = 4(8)²-1

= 4(64) - 1

= 256 - 1

= 255

8th term of AP = 255

The correct answer is option (d) 255
