Answer:- Given: a,9,b,25 are in AP.

So, difference between two consecutive terms is same.

9−a=b−9=25−b

b−9=25−b

b+b=22+9=34

or b=17

And,

9−a=b−9

9+9=a+b

a+b=18

a+17=18

or a=1

Answer: a=18,b=17.

if given series is in AP then

9-a=25-b

a-b=16

a+d=9

a+2d=b

a+3d=25

a+2d+d=25

2d+9=25

2d=16
