if the number n-2,4n-1and 5n+2 are in a.p then find value of n

By using the formula

2b = a+c---------(1)

a= n-2

b= 4n-1

c= 5n+2

putting the all value in equation(1)

2(4n-1)= n-2 + 5n +2

8n - 2= 6n

8n-6n = 2

2n=2

n=2/2

n=1

Done friend it's there I'm also little bit confused because while finding'd' we directly get the value of n but while putting it in formula the Value is different.
