Hey there!
Given ratio of boys and girls = 7 : 5 .
Case 1 :
Number of girls = 50 .
But we know that, Number of girls = 5/(7+5)* Total number of students .
5/12 * Total students = 50 .
Let the Total students = x.
5/12x = 50
x = 10*12
x = 120 students. [ Answer ]
Case 2 :

Ratio between boys & girls = 7 : 5 .
Total ratio = 7 + 5 = 12 .
Number of boys = 7/12 * Total number of students = 7/12d .
Number of girls = 5/12 * Total number of students = 5/12d.
Case 3 :
The strength of girls in schools is less compared to boys because girls are made to work and stay sticked to home, Mostly Girls are discriminated in all ways.

Let no. Of boys be 7x and no of girls be 5x.
1)given no. Of girls = 50
=>5x=50
x=50/5=10
Therefore,x=10
No.of boys = 7x = 7 X 10= 70
Total no. Of students = 70 + 50 = 120
The strength of the girls is less than the boys mostly because in some of the rural areas .. Still female education is not considered important
