if the number of defects change from 30000 to 3000

Hi,

Found Process Sigma Calculation by just keying in “Total Opportunities” and “Total Defects” in ISixSigma.

Could somebody teach me the way to calculate this?

The assumption made will replace effectively.

Change in assumption = 30000 - 3000

                                      = 27000 which is 90% of the estimate.

According to the question, there is a nearly 90% decrements in the number of deserted item or commodity. That indicates that the overall costs would drastically decrease from what assumed earlier.
