If the number of Hens is derived by Quadratic Equation as

x = 6. and x = 7/2

then state the reason why we rejected x = 7/2 ?

what should give the reason in statement?

7/2 is rejected because the number of hens can't be denoted in the form of fraction. No. of hen can be 3.5. It can be only in number like 6.

The number of objects should be a countable number. If it's either fraction or decimal, or like irrationals, unreal numbers, etc., such numbers cannot be counted as no. of objects.

Here, the no. of hens should be a counting number. If it's any other like pens, books, boxes, etc. instead of hens, their no. shall also be a counting number.

Here, x = 6 is accepted as we can say that there are 6 hens. And x = 7/2 is rejected because no one says there are 7/2 hens, and also 7/2 is not a counting number.

Else when we do say there are 7/2 hens, which is equal to 3 and 1/2 hens,... doesn't it mean something like 3 hens and a half body of hen???!!!

So this may be the reason. Hope this helps you.
