if the number of mango trees in a farm are 3 less than thrice the number of apples trees how many mango trees are there in the farm???

let apple trees be x and mango trees be y.

Let the number of apple trees be x
Then the number of mango trees = 3 less than thrice of mango trees
= 3x-3
Therefore number of mango trees = 3x-3
