Answer:

x=y-3

y=x+3............(i)

y²+x²=29

(x+3)²+x²=29

2x²+6x+9=29

x²+3x-10=0

(x+5)(x-2)=0

x= -5. x= 2

y=x+3

Hence,

y= -2. y= 5

x•y=10

Answer:

y +  y  - 3 = 29           x = y -3

2 y = 32

 y = 32/2

y = 16

  x = y - 3

    = 16 - 3 = 13

 y  = 16    x = 13

 xy  = 16 x 13

       =208
