Hii friend,

Numbers are X and Y.

X = Y-3

According to question,

(Y-3)² + (Y)² = 29

Y²+(3)² - 2 × Y× 3 = 29

given
y - x = 3
so \\ (y - x) {}^{2}  = (3) {}^{2}  \\  =  > y {}^{2}  + x {}^{2}   - 2xy = 9
given
y {}^{2}  + x {}^{2}  = 29
so
y {}^{2}  + x {}^{2}  - 2xy = 9 \\  =  =  > 29 - 2xy = 9 \\ 2xy = 9 - 29 \\ 2xy =  - 20 \\ xy =  - 10
XY= -10
