a2-a1=a3-a2

2x+1-(x+3)=x-7-(x+3)

2x+1-x-3=x-7-x-3

x-2 = -10

Step-by-step explanation:

let a be first no.and d be common difference

a=x+3

2x+1=a+d

2x+1=x+3+d

x=2+d. (i)

x-7=a+2d

x-7=x+3+2d

d=-5 put into i

x=2-5

x=-3
