proper fraction is a fraction in which the degree of the numerator is lesser than the degree of the denominator .
if the degree of numerator and denominator of a proper fraction are increased by the same quantity then the resulting fraction is also a proper fraction .
but when the fraction is increased with same quantity i.e, adding some constant on both the numerator and denominator , the resulting fraction is always greater than the first fraction .
for example , 1/2 be the fraction ,
(1+1)/(2+1) , we get 2/3
which is greater than 1/2
