If the numerator of a fraction is increased by 15% and it's denomination is decreased by 8% , the value of the fraction is 15/16. find the original fraction.

Hey,
Let the numerator and the denominator be X and y respectively,
Now, ATQ,
x+15%/y-18%=15/16
x+15/100/y-18/100=15/16
x+15/y-18=15/16
On cross multiplication,
16(x+15)=15(y-18)
16x+240=15y-270
16x-15y=-510
Now, 16x=-510
x=31.9.
And, -15y=-510
y=34.
