Answer:

\frac{3}{4}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be x

Let the denominator be y

So, Fraction= \frac{x}{y}

Now we are given that the numerator of a fraction is increased by 15%

So, numerator = x+15\% \times x

                       = x+\frac{15}{100} \times x

                       = 1.15x

Now we are given that its denominator is decreased by 8%

So, Denominator =  y-8\% \times y

                            = y-\frac{8}{100} \times y

                            = 0.92y

So, The Value of the fraction is 15/16.

\Rightarrow \frac{1.15x}{0.92y}=\frac{15}{16}

\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{0.92\times 15}{16 \times 1.15}

\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{4}

Hence the original fraction is \frac{3}{4}.
