Answer : The fraction is 95/48

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the fraction =xy

According to the question,

Numerator of a fraction is increased by 20%

=> 100 + 20 = 120

Denominator is decreased by 5% :

=> 100 - 5 = 95

 \dfrac{x \times 120}{y \times 95}  =  \dfrac{5}{2}

 \dfrac{x}{y}  =  \dfrac{5 \times 95}{120 \times 2}

 \dfrac{x}{y}  =  \dfrac{475}{240}

 \dfrac{x}{y}  =  \dfrac{95}{48}

Hence, The fraction is 95/48
