if the numerator of a fraction is increased by 200% and the denomination by 250% the result of fraction is 3/14 what is the original fraction

Here is the answer.

Let the fraction be x/y

200% of x = 2x

250% of y = 2.5y

According to question, 2x/2.5y = 3/14

or, x/y = 3×2.5 / 2×14 = 7.5/28 = 75/280

= 15/56
