Answer:

If the numerator of a fraction is increased by 300% And The denominator is increased by 500% the resultant fraction is 5/12 .

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step: 1)  Let numerator will be x.If numerator is increased by 300% , then numerator will be       x+\frac{300}{100}x
  • Step: 2)numerator =  4x
  • Step: 3) Let denominator will be y. If denominator is increased by 500%, then denominator will be       y+\frac{500}{100}y
  • Step: 4) denominator=  6x
  • Step: 5) Equation will be:       \frac{4x}{6y}=\frac{5}{12}
  • Step: 6)    \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5*6}{12*4}
  • Step: 7)     \frac{x}{y} =\frac{30}{48}
  • Step: 8)     \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{8}
  • Hence the original fraction is \frac{5}{8}.
