Find the area of the outer circle:

Area = πr²

Area =  π(112)² = 39424 cm²

Find the area of the inner circle:

Area = πr²

Area =  π(70)² = 15400 cm²

Find the area of the parapet:

Area = 39424 - 15400 = 24024 cm²

Answer: The area of the parapet is 24024 cm²
