Answer:

2x + 3y = 7-----------( 1 )

kx + (9/2)y = 12--------( 2 ).

and,

have a no solution,

as you know condition for no solution,

a₁ / a₂ = b₁ / b₂ ≠ c₁ / c₂

where,

a₁ = 2 , b₁ = 3 , c₁ = 7

a₂ = k , b₂ = (9/2) , c₂ = 12

now,

2/k = 3/(9/2) ≠ 7/12

2/k = 2/3

k = 6/2

k = 3.
